Job Description

Ensures that the restaurant operates efficiently and profitably while maintaining Maria's reputation and culture.

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Maintaining high standards of food, service and health & safety.
  • Combines strategic planning, organizing shift patterns, and day-to-day management activities to achieve the highest efficiency.
  • Co-ordinating the entire operation of the restaurant during scheduled shifts;
  • Managing staff throughout their shift and providing them with feedback;
  • Ensuring that all employees adhere to the company's uniform standards;
  • Meeting and greeting customers and organizing table reservations;
  • Dealing with customer complaints in a positive way.
  • Checking stock levels and ordering supplies;
  • Helping out in any area of the restaurant when circumstances dictate.
  • Recruiting, training and motivating staff.
  • Co-ordinate Take-out, delivery orders and catering events.
  • Work with Kitchen Manager to ensure recipe constistency.
  • Control waste, adhere to earth-friendly principles.

Education:

Understand, speak and write fluent English. A second language is a plus.
Must be computer proficient.

 

Required Experience

A minimum of 2 years of current, full-service restaurant management experience.
